I go to Pro Form Cut and Shave every two weeks, and I don’t let anyone else touch my hair or beard. Mike is the real deal. He’s not just good with the clippers – he’s a genuinely good-hearted guy who cares about the people in his chair. He’s not the cheapest barber around, and there’s a reason for that. The quality shows. He takes his time, pays attention to every detail, and doesn’t rush through just to get to the next person. You can tell he takes pride in his work, and he doesn’t just take on everybody – he takes care of his clients. I walk out feeling sharp every single time. Great conversation, comfortable atmosphere, and consistent results. Hands down the best barber! My boyfriend used to go to Floyd's for a skin fade and beard trim and we ended up finding a guy who did a really good job. He unfortunately left and so we turned to google and yelp and found Mike at ProForm Cut & Shave. Turns out Mike has trained many barbers from Floyd's, and it shows. My boyfriend's beard and mustache have never looked better. It is so clean and handsome! The location is a bit tricky to find the first time, but it's right next to the auto shop (same building). Just keep driving in and it's to the left. The price is comparable to Floyd's with much better quality. Please support local business and get a top notch job from Mike. I'm new to the area and found Mike through this Google listing and am so glad I did. As soon as I walked in the door I knew I was in the right place. Mike was very welcoming, a great conversationalist, and (most importantly) really knew what he was doing. It's rare that I've found a barber that explains some of the subtle things they were going to do with my hair based on face shape, oddities with my hair, and general techniques. I don't have a very difficult hair style, but it often looks very rigid after a cut from one of the big name places, which was not the case with Mike. Stellar atmosphere and service at Proform Cut & Shave! I've been going here about a year now and cannot recommend it enough for anyone seeking quality service, good conversation, and a chill environment. Living up to the name Proform, Mike delivers one hell of a haircut and beard trim. Beyond being skilled with scissors and razors, he is efficient, personable, and has a style that makes the experience feel more like catching up with an old friend than a routine haircut. This is the type of place I think of when I think of baber shop. Yes it is a bit more modern, but the feel and the conversation and the people are always on point as are the cuts. I go to see Mike and yes he gets the weird questions I ask about my hair and how to not be old white dude #3. My son also goes and he wants the cool teenage curs and his barber hooks him up as well. This is the type of place you go when you start actually caring about your look and know it takes real craftspeople to get you that look. Mike and his whole team are the best. ~ Michael L

I will NEVER go anywhere else. I have a large beard that I’ve not trusted to a barber in 10 years because while everyone knows how to “cutt a beard,” only Mike (and I’m sure his whole team) knows how to shape one! I swear this man was a gifted sculpture artist in his past life…. Amazing service that has led to even my wife getting her hair cutt and colored at ProForm. Also, the appointment system is amazing and I feel like appointment only is the way to go. My time is respected and I never feel rushed out of the chair because chairs are full of people waiting in the lobby. ~ Kyle M

Mike is awesome! I recently moved to Colorado Springs from Chicago and after having my hair cut by the same person for 4 years there, I was on the hunt for a barber out here. I went to a couple of places that I didn't feel really fit what I was looking for, and came across Mike through Google and decided to give him a shot! Mike has done an awesome job the last couple of times that I have gone to him, and I plan to use him moving forward. Great job at fading and shaving, and very personable and easy to talk to. One great guy running an astonishing quality business. He takes the time to make sure you get what you want. Checks in as he goes to ensure everything is good. He will make professional recommendations from time to time to help his customer. Straight razor shaves. Beard trims. Actual hair cuts at a personal one on one level, unlike your chain/big business hair places. Definitely a small business worth supporting. Also he is a great easy to converse with guy. Absolutely awesome barber shop. I honestly didnt know what i wanted to do with my hair but i had been growing it out and wanted something different. Ella was so great and took the time to go over hairstyles that fit my look and personality. She even discussed the health of my scalp and gave me a few pointers. I loved the look she performed and couldnt be happier. Also got to talk with Mike who was absolutely awesome. Such a great shop and can't wait to visit next time. Mike is an amazing barber. I've gone to him twice and have come away happy both times. The first time was just a beard trim, but I added a haircut to the second time, as he knows his stuff. I haven't looked as good as I do after a haircut/beard trim since my wedding, and that cost near twice as much. I'm definitely going to continue to use ProForm as my go-to for beard trims and haircuts. My roommate has also gone and gotten a haircut from ProForm and was very happy. I can't say enough good things ProForm Cut & Shave! I've had nothing but great experiences and every time I leave the shop I always look and feel really good. When I first showed up a few years ago my hair and beard were a mess. Over time Mike has transformed them into something that gets compliments regularly. "Yea, I've got a beard guy. He's awesome!" I’ve lived all over the States and Mike is by far the best barber I’ve ever been to! He is truly a master of his craft, and explained what styles would work best with my hair type. After going to him a couple of times he suggested a different style than what I’d been asking for. I trusted his expertise and It turned out awesome! Wife loved it! I went in for a haircut this past weekend and was completely blown away by the quality and also the professionalism of Michael. He definitely knows what he’s doing when he’s cutting your hair and goes the extra mile by telling you what he’s doing and why he does it. I went to get my haircut here for the first time after the other place I got my haircut was booked. Mike is a very good barber. He knows all the different hair types and can work with them very well. He knows how to get hair to the way YOU want it and will work with you if you are trying to change up your style and cut your hair accordingly. He is also a great person to talk to. Mike is a one of a kind blend of quality, luxury, and ambition. It seems almost uncomfortable to "rate" him at all, because 5 stars to me says "the job was done well, as expected". I am writing a review to offer a better reflection of the experience. I feel he exceeds all expectations, consistently. He knows hair, he knows people, and he knows himself. He's an absolute artist in every facet you could measure. There is a reason he's among the absolute top rated in the area. I'm absolutely critical about my hair, and I've never had a less-than-perfect result. My first cut... I could see him calculating the best possible cut/shape for my face. Hands down best barber in the Springs!! After cycling through different barbers that jacked up my hair, I finally landed on Mike! Not only did he give a badass cut, but he’s a good dude that keeps it real! Takes the time to get to know you, makes each interaction personable, and doesn’t make you feel like you’re just another client (or dollar). The shop is has a super lax feel, everyone is chill and makes you feel welcomed! I recommend Mike and ProForm to anyone looking for a clean cut! ~ Dustin B

Mike is the best barber I've ever had, and probably will ever have. He treats you like the individual you are - not just another head on his daily to-do list. Each visit, you will get much more than an exceptional haircut - you will also get tips on how to better care for your hair, product recommendations, etc. Mike is a no-BS businessman. I saw this place on Google and read the reviews and so I gave it a shot and it did not disappoint in ANY way! My preteen son showed a picture and thats exactly what he got! Ella was amazing the whole time, making sure my son was liking every part of the process (he is so sensitive and picky when it comes to his hair) and he literally said "I fell in love with it" after the cut was done and we were on our way home! 100/10 recommend and we will be back!! ~ Cassie D

As a guy who’d recently grown out long curly hair finding somewhere to get a good haircut was a bit daunting, but after seeing the “man I don’t know” option I was pretty sold since I had no idea what I wanted. Great place to get a cut!! I've been here a number of times and have yet to be disappointed. Ella has been awesome every time! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and great haircuts no matter your hair type. The place is usually busy, and is appointment only, it's been pretty easy to schedule from the start, just log in online on their website or call in, the times available and number of barber's available are pretty convenient. ~ John B

Alycia and Ella take turns handling my hair. Best wolf cut ever, and a large undercut. Plus whenever I have color ideas, Alycia knows exactly how to get it just right while keeping my hair healthy. The whole team at ProForm Cut & Shave is amazing. They also do my teenager’s hair and know how to ask the right questions to get to what he really wants. Mike at ProForm is by far the best barber I have been to anywhere around. Mike is personable, and takes his time to ensure you get the best cut possible. Mike is also great for all ages; was very patient and able to get my 18 month’s hair cut awesome as well. Been getting fades for over 10 years and Mike is definitely one of the best in the game. It was a really great time meeting Mike for the first time and just overall a wonderful experience. My cut was tight and on point. The conversation was superb and it was really great cause the barbershop is also located in a mechanic shop. I highly recommend getting a cut here especially if you're a car enthusiasts of any sort.
